Team BRIT is a team of disabled drivers who compete on equal terms against their able-bodied rivals in top level endurance racing. Using the world’s most advanced hand control technology, Team BRIT aims to become the first all-disabled team to compete in the Le Mans 24 hour endurance race, which is widely considered to be one of the greatest races in the world.
Powered by ODYSSEY® Battery, Team BRIT is changing lives by creating equal opportunities in motorsport for people with physical and psychological disabilities. While Team BRIT’s racing team competes in high-profile events, its Racing Academy offers track day experiences, designed to make motorsport more accessible for disabled drivers through grassroots coaching and mentoring.

Race Engineer, Al Locke, has used ODYSSEY® batteries as the team’s preferred battery for many years. He explains, “We compete in endurance racing, so reliability is key. In my experience, there is no battery more reliable than an ODYSSEY® Battery. They’re consistent, they’re unaffected by temperature, they work. Racing weight is also hugely important and using ODYSSEY® batteries saves us crucial kilos as they’re so lightweight.”
